Fan-Fiction Rules
This forum, like all others should have, and does have, rules. Make sure to follow them. I will take the liberty of posting them.
The following rules apply to people commenting.
Be respectful to the author.
We don't need any "this story stinks" comments. Do not flame anyone for no reason.
Constructive criticism only!
Try and be nice in your posts, and point out what the writer can work on, point out typos, etc.
Comments, or "reviews".
Comments should be at least three or four sentences long. Do not spam.
Double posting.
This can only be done by the Fan-Fiction's creator. Do not double post.
Thread revival.
This can only be done by the Fan-Fiction's creator. Do not post if the thread has become old. If the last post is more than six weeks old, than don't post.
Do not pester the writer to continue their story, if they choose to stop writing. It is their decision.
If the writer has stopped updating his or her Fan-Fiction, they might not have been on or had time to work on their story. Do not pester them for an update.
The following rules apply to those writing a Fan-Fiction.
Chapter length.
Chapters must be at least around five paragraphs. This is to keep the chapters at a good length, and to not cause spam.
Story ratings.
It's a good idea to give the reader a heads up for what their going to be reading. A rating of PG would suffice for mild violence, and PG 13 would be good to describe a Fan-Fiction with mild language.
Keep the mild language to a minimum. Revised!
Alright, I don't want to see any mild, bad, or foul language at all, with the exception of if you got permission from MegaMaccer, but even then, try and keep it to a minimum. Bad language just ruins a story, and isn't really necessary at all. I would hope you don't use any bad language at all. - Westrmistr
EDIT: Thought I'd add a lil something-something here. I really don't want to see any bad language at all, ok? I know some words are down to personal choice, but if you're a lil iffy on whether its an ok word or not, feel free to ask me.EDIT: Good call, Mac.
Double posting.
The creator can double post to keep updating the Fan-Fiction. They can post as many times as they want, just as long as it's not spam.
This isn't a Role Play.
These are Fan-Fictions, not Role Plays. Do not go asking if you can be a character in a story. If the writer, for some reason, was going to include you in the story as a character anyway, I guess it's okay, but... Just don't go asking, okay?
Now, go have fun!
