So I decided I'd try my hand at recoloring all of the sprites that you've added so far. I'm starting only with the starters, then once you guys tell me what you think, I'll go on or stop. If I go on, I have marked out all of the pokemon that are not there or that need editing, so I will only be doing the completed ones. (I mainly did that so I would have room to place colors for editing, etc. August 5th: Finished Squibeel, Meltell, and Freezpool. -Tator

Hm... Wasn't that already explained? Well, I have to say you did an awesome job recoloring them! I'd REALLY like to get that purple Meltell! XD

Wait. Why can't you guys insert shiny sprites? Isn't there a code in the ROMs for shinies? You could just take the code from a ROM, and insert it into the game!

It hasn't been explained to me either, and looking at some of the tools, all we need to do is define another pallette for the shinies...

So we can do shinies? ;P -Tator I think it's possible, but wait till Mac answers the question. He might have a good reason for not being able to do shineys...

Didn't I read somewhere that, if you insert some Sprites, the shiny-ones are made automatically? Or was that just my imagination?

yea, if your using unlz.gba to insert the sprites you make the backsprite have the pallete you want as the shiny pallate and the rom's base coding actually uses the pallete of the corresponding front sprite for the backsprite when you're using it normally. However it works in reverse when you encounter a shiny.
So Yes, it is easily achievable.
